December was all about delivering what you’ve been asking for! From rolling out the much-awaited beta version of custom email integration for Google and Office 365 to adding a slick twist with email templates for announcements, we’ve been busy packing in features that make your daily grind smoother and smarter.
As 2025 kicks off, we’re more pumped than ever to build features and refine DeskDay that empower you to do what you do best: keep IT seamless for your customers.

What’s New?
Beta version of custom mailbox integration for Google and O365 is live now!
Easily integrate your Office 365 or Google support mailbox with DeskDay for streamlined ticket management. You can now automatically convert incoming emails into tickets, ensuring no customer issues slip through the cracks. Reply directly from your configured mailbox for a seamless experience. For added personalization, the configured mailbox can also be set as the primary support channel, replacing DeskDay’s default mailbox.
Announcements now come with email templates!
The upgraded announcement feature now lets end-users receive your announcements regarding updates, maintenance schedules, or critical alerts in a pre-built email template designed by us. Neat and easy to skim!
Additional Updates and Enhancements
Changed the announcement timestamp from created time to received time.
Updated the regards section on emails when a customer user is locked.
Added validation for deselecting both announcement channels IT Connect and Email.
Changed the Announcement Push Notification to display the title instead of the description.
Set the home board as the default board automatically when a default board is deleted.
Disabled the merge button in the ticket merge drawer when no tickets are selected.
Changed the “Title” field in archived tickets to “Date Archived.”
Ensured site contact persons updated automatically when the customer’s primary contact changed.
Adjusted “Note & Time” to save based on the resource’s time zone instead of the system time zone.
Added notifications for ticket assignment via bulk action on the ticket table.
Added a toaster notification when activating contracts.
Removed upcoming activities for closed tickets on the homepage.
Bugs Fixed
Fixed issues with missed scheduled announcements.
Addressed missing ticket notifications for team members in the System App.
Prevented expired announcements from being removed from the notification screen.
Blocked Ninja alert tickets from generating for MSPs with expired subscriptions.
Fixed the disappearing user connection schedule message after refreshing.
Addressed missing notifications (email/app) when a customer or user is changed in a ticket, project, or task.
Fixed the issue of two timers running simultaneously on a single ticket in the Watchlist.
Resolved the inability to schedule assignees while using the duplicate option in Assignees & Schedule.
Fixed toaster message when a locked resource attempts to log in.
Resolved the issue of new SSO users being added as privileged users instead of normal users.
Resolved the issue of announcements being sent to all users even after some were removed.
Fixed the alert for expiry time validation and made the “Send” button non-clickable until corrected.
Blocked the deletion of SSO users from the customer section.
Fixed the error when logging into IT-Connect Mobile and IT-Connect Teams simultaneously.
Resolved error encountered during login to NinjaOne before the DeskDay integration page loaded.
Resolved the issue of announcements being sent to all users under a customer instead of the selected users.
Corrected the customer count while editing announcements from drafts.
Fixed design breaks caused by long addresses in the company profile and customer sections.
Fixed incorrect invoice amounts when switching between “Consolidated” and “Detailed” types in the Ready-to-Bill section.
Resolved the issue of promo codes and discounts reappearing after re-subscribing without the code.
Fixed issues with scrolling canned notes.
Fixed auto-scrolling in the assignee list when selecting the last assignee.
Fixed missing notifications when scheduled assignees are removed in UAT.
Resolved UI breakdown issues on the announcement preview screen.
Prevented time entries from being removed in Ready-to-Bill when unselected.
Blocked duplicate data/items in configurations.
Fixed errors when creating resources after modifying the case of the email ID.
Fixed subscription promo code persistence after switching from monthly to yearly plans.
Ensured ticket title changes were reflected in pinned tickets.
Blocked ticket creation for inactive resources.
Addressed missing site details for certain SSO users.
Blocked SSO user additions via manual user creation.
Fixed missing time entries for the first day of the week in timesheets.
Removed upcoming activities for closed tickets on the homepage.
Fixed “Oops, the task doesn’t exist” error in sample notifications.
