About DeskDay

DeskDay is a fast-growing SaaS company redefining how Managed Service Providers (MSPs) deliver IT services. We’re building the next generation of Professional Services Automation; chat-first, AI-powered, and designed to cut through the noise so teams can focus on what matters most.

Our mission is simple: give MSPs an intuitive, efficient way to manage support. Less chaos. More clarity. Happier customers.

We’re a close-knit team of builders, thinkers, and doers. Every person here plays a key role in shaping a platform that thousands of service providers will rely on daily. At DeskDay, you won’t just be “joining a company”, you’ll be part of a movement leading the future of work in the MSP world.

The Role

This is not a ‘write what you’re told’ role. You’ll take briefs from rough ideas to polished content independently, own the calendar for your workstreams, and bring strong creative judgment to everything from a 2000-word thought leadership blog to a 10-word LinkedIn caption. A good design eye is non-negotiable; you’ll often work alongside visuals or produce content meant to live alongside them.

What You’ll Do

Content Creation

  • Write SEO-optimised long-form blogs, thought leadership articles, and product explainers tailored for an MSP/IT audience
  • Produce website copy; landing pages, feature pages, product descriptions, and CTAs; with a strong grasp of conversion principles
  • Craft engaging social media copy for LinkedIn and other channels, adapting tone and format per platform
  • Write compelling email sequences, newsletters, and nurture campaigns in HubSpot
  • Script video content; product walkthroughs, promos, explainer videos;  with an instinct for pacing and visual storytelling
  • Develop sales collateral: one-pagers, capability decks, case study write-ups, and battlecards
  • Create ad copy for paid campaigns (LinkedIn, Google) when needed

Product & Brand Alignment

  • Work closely with product marketing to translate feature releases into clear, benefit-led messaging
  • Maintain and evolve DeskDay’s brand voice and tone guide across all content formats
  • Repurpose and refresh existing content for new formats, audiences, or updated product capabilities
  • Collaborate with designers to brief visual assets and ensure copy and design work as a cohesive unit

Strategy & Ownership

  • Own your content workstreams end-to-end; from ideation and research to publication and performance review
  • Maintain and contribute to an editorial calendar; flag gaps and propose ideas proactively
  • Track content performance using analytics tools; iterate based on what’s working
  • Conduct competitor content research and identify white-space opportunities for DeskDay’s content strategy

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 1–2 years of hands-on content writing experience: blog posts, landing pages, social copy, email, video scripts
  • Strong command of English and the ability to write clearly for a technical B2B audience
  • Experience writing for SaaS, tech, or IT services products (portfolio required)
  • Comfortable working autonomously; you don’t need a manager to define your tasks or review every draft
  • Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals: keyword intent, on-page structure, readability
  • A genuine design sensibility; you understand how copy interacts with layout, whitespace, and visual hierarchy
  • Curiosity and the habit of staying current with industry trends, content formats, and platform changes

Great to Have

  • Familiarity with the MSP or IT services space (massive plus)
  • Experience with tools like HubSpot, WordPress, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar
  • Experience running or supporting a content calendar across multiple formats
  • Prior exposure to bottom-of-funnel conversion writing
  • Interest in or experience with AI writing workflows and prompt-based content tooling

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Take ownership without being asked twice; you spot a gap, you fill it
  • Have strong opinions on what makes writing good and can back them up
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity; we don’t come with playbooks
  • Can switch gears fast, from a punchy LinkedIn post to a detailed feature explainer in the same day
  • Are as invested in the output as the process
  • Enjoy collaborating closely with design, product, and sales without losing your own editorial voice
